Linking civil engineers all over Europe

ECCE is a member of the European Council for Construction Research, Development and Innovation (ECCREDI), which is actively involved in the European Commission's R&D programme. It is also a member of the European Society for Engineering Education (SEFI), which promotes the education of European engineers.
ECCE maintains contact with other pan-European bodies representing the construction sector through its membership of the European Construction Forum (ECF) which facilitates an exchange of interests and concerns across the sector.
ECCE also maintains contact with the World Federation of Engineering Organisations (WFEO), the European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI) and the European Council of Engineers Chambers (ECEC).

ECCE has formal agreements with counterparts across the globe - the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE). This allows a flow of technical and other information on issues concerning the profession at global level and the opportunity to share concerns on issues such as environmental disasters, and the future training and professional development of civil engineers.

ECCE encourages information relationships with other organisations with which it shares common goals and concerns for the future of the civil engineering profession. A number of ECCE’s national member organisations play a part in pan-European and international bodies and seek to keep ECCE members informed of developments and initiatives which may affect the training, continuing professional development or professional activity of European civil engineers.
