A. GENERAL
Married with two children, born in Nicosia in 1971, graduated with a distinction from Apostolos Petros & Pavlos Lyceum in Limassol, continued in Higher Technical Institute (H.T.I.), Nicosia, Cyprus and graduated with a scholarship gaining a B.Eng. (Hons) Degree from the University of Glamorgan (UK) and possess postgraduate training in Arbitration and ADR'.

He is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers with a Post Graduate Degree in Arbitration, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an Accredited Mediator for Trade Issues and Adjudicator.

He is an active Civil / Structural Engineer since 1995 and from 2003 he works as a managing partner / founder in a Civil and Structural Engineering Consultants Office in Nicosia, Cyprus providing services for Earthquake Engineering, structural design in R.C., Steel and Composite Buildings, retrofitting and conservation of existing structures, restoration of Monuments and Traditional Buildings, as well as supervision and project management.

He has participated in a number of projects as the lead Structural Designer and/or Project Team Coordinator, in both European and locally funded projects concerning the seismic risk assessment and retrofitting of existing structures and conservation of monuments and traditional buildings and also RC and steel structures in Cyprus and abroad. He participates in various International committees and represents Cyprus in ECCE, FIB and FIDIC.

Also, as a specialist in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), is a regular speaker for ADR and discipliner issues and deals as an expert with contractual special issues to resolve disputes, to give expert advice on contracts and to provide mediation, adjudication, expert determinations and arbitrations.

• He is currently the President of ETEK Committee for the "Regular Inspection of Buildings".
• Member of the Central National Committee for Eurocodes in Cyprus, CYS TE18.
• Coordinator of subcommittee 4 for Eurocodes (EC4) in Cyprus – composite structures of National Standardization Technical Committee CYS TE / 18 – Eurocodes.
• Member of subcommittee 8 – for Eurocodes (EC8) in Cyprus – Seismic Design of National Technical Committee CYS / TE 18, (from 2013 until today).
• Coordinator of subcommittee 3 – for Eurocode (EC3). – Design of Steel Structures.
• Vice president in the ETEK Committee of Arbitrators and Expert Determinations (2014 – 2017) and (2017 – 2020).
• President of the Committee assigned to translate the Fidic Contracts in the Greek language.
• Member of the committee that prepare the "Arbitrators Code of Ethics", booklet of ETEK 2013.
• President of the Committee who were assigned to prepare the "ETEK Arbitration Rules booklet" (2007 – 2011).
• Member of Committee for the translation of the National Annex for EN1993 and EN1994 (2009 – 2011).
• Member of Committee for the preparation of the National Annex for EN1993 and EN1994 (2006 – 2008).

• He was the President of the Cyprus Civil Engineers Association (CyACE) for two consecutive tenures, 2013 to 2015 and 2015 to 2017.
• He was the General Secretary of Cyprus Civil Engineers and Architects Association (CCEAA).
• From 2014 is an elected member of the ETEK General Council. Firstly elected in 2014 to 2017 and then re-elected from 2017 until 2020.
• He was an elected member of the Disciplinary Board of ETEK from 2005 to 2014.
• He served as the President of Platform 1 of the Disciplinary Board of the ETEK from 2011 to 2014.
