The Standing Committee Environment and Sustainability has been reinstalled after the resignation of the former chairman at the 56th ECCE General Assembly in October 2012 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
By this ECCE took the initiative again to focus on all the problems and questions of a sustainable civil engineering work, as all its members actually come up and describe it as one of their main topics and services to national civil engineers.
Terms of Reference:
- To become a platform for information, new developments and exchange
- To strengthen relations with European institutions and other professional organizations / associations
- To participate in EU programmes
- To bring up current civil engineering issues to the public
The activities will – hopefully - develop soon and increase rapidly. The first activity deals with information collection about universities, which offer education in the field of sustainable civil engineering. A second one starts with making up a net of the specialists/responsible actors within the national ECCE member associations.
