Andres Piirsalu, MSc. Civil Engineer

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

Andres Piirsalu is a Civil Engineer. He has graduated Tallinn University of Technology in 1986 and has obtained Diploma in Civ. Eng. (MSc) with specialisation in Water Supply and Sanitation.

During 1992-1993 he attended the post-graduate course "Water and Environmental Management" at the Tampere University of Technology (Finland).  

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND CAREER

Andres Piirsalu has 30 years’ experience in the field of water supply and wastewater systems. Besides this main area of activity he has also experience in environmental consulting and management, such as solid waste management and environmental assessments and audits. Mr. Piirsalu has been involved in several water and environmental projects as an expert and project manager. He has also participated in working groups and workshops evaluating and assessing items concerning water and wastewater. Since 1997 the key role of Mr Piirsalu has been developing and managing environmental consulting company Entec Eesti OÜ in position of managing director and CEO. Besides this Mr Piirsalu has participated in large scale EU projects as coordinator and team leader’s advisor.

Latest years’ experiences of Mr Piirsalu are related to environmental and technical due diligence audits and environmental impact assessment. He has been involved as an expert and team leader in international energy related project Balticconnector EIA – natural gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia.

Mr Piirsalu is licensed by Estonian Association of Civil Engineers as Estonian Chartered Engineer in Water Supply and Sewerage, EQF 8.
